Welcome to Watlington Ranch!!
Our facility here in Nebraska is located north of Falls City, by a small town called Barada. We are surrounded by gently rolling hills, miles of gravel & dirt roads, acres of row crop and hay, cattle and a close knit community. Just a few miles down the road is Indian Cave State Park, where all year round there are miles of trails open to the public for riding horses, biking, hiking, tours, and guided trail rides-horses provided by the park.
We are now accepting horses for starting and training for 2015! Our earliest open spots are in June, we are only accepting a few horses a month so please contact us to get booked today. We have stalls for our client horses with daily turnout, unless other arrangements are discussed. Every training horse is started in our indoor but as soon as they are ready; we are out riding in the pastures, fields, down the roads, and hauled to Indian Cave to ride the trails or to arenas for exposure to cattle, competitions, etc.
John & Jo Watlington have many years of breeding, raising, training, and competing horses and cattle. We specialize in starting under saddle, training the all around using horse for trails and/or cattle work, and correcting issues both on the ground and under saddle. We also offer specialized advanced training for barrel racing, pole bending, and cutting; as well as legging up, seasoning, and hauling for those horses. Currently we are working on getting our personal horses and prospects started, trained, and/or legged up and are accepting a limited number of client horses a month. We also have prospects and riding horses for sale, check out our For Sale page. Make sure you check out all pages of our website! Let us know of any questions you may have.
