Watlington Ranch is located in gorgeous southeast Oklahoma, home of the Ouachita Mountains and National Forest. The Ouachita (pronounced WASH-ee-taw) mountains are densely covered with the oldest short leaf pine forest in the world, as well as with heavy populations of oak and hickory. These mountains are the oldest mountains in North America, due to their age they are also the shortest and are over looked by many. Watlington Ranch is on the south side of the mountains, just a short drive to the heart of the Ouachita Forest where there are hundreds of horse trails.
John & Jo Watlington has many years of breeding, raising, training, and competing horses and cattle. We specialize in starting under saddle, barrel racing, pole bending, cutting, cattle/ranch work, trails, and horses with behavioral issues. We also offer riding lessons, boarding, clinics, training sessions and use of our arena to the public. Make sure you check out all pages of our website! Let us know of any questions you may have.
